GLOBAL OUTREACH

While I was in Russia, Wolftree was there with me.  I was there to conduct a GIS seminar and after a few days in the computer lab we headed to the field to collect some data to later analyze in GIS.  While in the field, we stop to take a lunch break on a gravel bar in the river and it being a nice, sunny, warm day everyone starts taking off some layers - and Sergy (Sergei) Makeev gets down to a t-shirt - which just happens to be a Wolftree t-shirt!  It was a bit surreal.  Out on the Kura River of Sakhalin, half way around the world, only to find something so familiar to me appear out of nowhere.  Sergy has been to Cascade Streamwatch twice and thinks it is by far the best educational program for students to learn about Salmon.  He is part of a team of people trying to create a similar park on Sakhalin.

I attached the picture as proof! Enjoy the sunshine.

Cheers,

Christina
