However, a modest investment now will make a huge difference in the lives of underserved youth today and generate even bigger returns for all of us tomorrow. Local classrooms need your support to help prepare students for the many challenges they face today and in the future.

Wolftree’s award-winning science education programs take young people out of the classroom and into forests and streams— where they experience first-hand the richness of nature and the thrill of scientific discovery! Studies show this kind of experiential education is unsurpassed in cultivating the scientists and stewards of our future.

Wolftree’s field studies are currently enriching the curriculum of underserved schools throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Our programs are staffed by professional scientists and trained educators who value the success of all students. Young women and minorities— traditionally under-represented in the scientific professions — are especially encouraged. Best of all, Wolftree programs are provided at no cost to most local schools!

Science literacy enhances academic competitiveness and gives students the tools they need to survive and thrive in our modern world. With a deeper understanding of scientific inquiry and a personal experience of wild places, young people are better prepared to make important choices throughout life. We believe all children excel when challenged and that science literacy is a powerful tool for solving many of our world’s problems But we can’t do it alone. We rely on charitable donations from local individuals and small businesses like you to help leverage funds from national foundations and public agencies. Every dollar you contribute will be tripled through matching programs with our partners. Over the last 15 years, Wolftree has faced many challenges, yet they are insignificant when compared to what many of our young people face in their everyday lives.
