My Info Page

I was born March 29, 1967 in Richmond, California.  I've lived in Oregon most of my life.

I graduated from Rex Putnam High School in 1985.

I am single, and live in Southeast Portland, in a home I just bought!

My parents live in Milwaukie.    My brother & his family live in the Sellwood area of Portland.

I also have an 13 yr old female Black Lab named Shelby, a 6 year old Black and White Cat named Lucy, and an 10 year old Beagle named Pearl.  Take a look at my animal picture gallery.

I work at Standard Insurance in downtown Portland, in the IT Department.

My pets are my 'Fur Kids'.  My female Black Lab Shelby is around 13 yrs old. I have had her since she was around 2 yrs old. She was a failed field dog from up in Washington somewhere.  Her previous a-hole owners totally messed her up, so she is completely afraid of water, to where she won't even go near a kiddie pool.  She is also afraid of loud noises.  She needs to be sedated around 4th of July and New Years Eve.  She is though, the sweetest dog around with such a sweet soul.

Lucy is my kitty who I adopted from the Oregon Humane Society back in 2002. She is a sweet little cat, who at the young age of only 10 months when I adopted her, had already weaned a litter of kittens.  She was a skinny scrawny cat. Now she is my big beautiful loud mouth.  She loooooves the dogs.

The latest addition is my Drama Queen.  This would be Pearl my Beagle.  She is close to 10 yrs old, and I adopted her in January of 2005 from Seattle Beagle Rescue.  She is a work in progress.  Really!  When I adopted her she was a whopping 56 lbs! Her claim to fame, besides her melodic Beagle speak, is being able to open up the refrigerator door!  Yes, I have one of those.  I had to go and get a child proof safety latch for my fridge.   Soon I will have a 'Before and After' page for Pearl, in regards to her weight.  So far, she has gone from 56 to 39 lbs!

Since I live so close to the coast, I like to take trips to the beach, go camping, play softball,  'geeking out' on my computer and reading.  My favorite author right now is Daniel Silva. Back before I hurt my back I loved Tae Kwon Do.  I enjoy reading and going to movies.  I enjoy drama and action/thriller movies more than anything else.  As for music... I love all kinds except for Country and Rap.  I love spicy foods, and love to cook.  I'm pretty spontaneous, have a great sense of humor, and very romantic (hey, I'm Italian).

My favorite TV shows include most any series on HBO, including the done with 'OZ' (oh yah!) and 'Six Feet Under'. I'm a big  'Sopranos' fan. I love  '24' and 'Battlestar Galactica'.  I did watch La Femme Nikita on USA until it was cancelled.  I had an LFN Website... If you were going to look for some pictures from past LFN conventions, please e-mail me, I'm sure I still have them.

I volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society.  I spend the majority of my Volunteer time, working in the dog kennels walking them and giving them love and companionship. I also participate in the Outreach Program. This program takes the animals out to different locations around Portland, to try and find them good homes, to get them out of the shelter, and to spread the word about the Oregon Humane Society. I have some old  'Web Logs' of sorts, of the time I spent with the animals at the Humane Society, and now you can read what I write about my volunteer time on my Live Journal.  I also am a Volunteer Mentor. Do you have some spare time to give to your local Humane Society?
