GHOST TROOP ANTHEM
Listen
to Carey's version on keyboard
To all members of Captain
May's groups, readers of his articles, websites, radio interview listeners-
everyone! Open to all! Captain May wrote the Ghost Troop Anthem in memory of
all those who lost their lives in the Battle Of Baghdad five years ago. Captain
May would like to see this music put to the test by anyone who is interested in
creating their own version of his sheet music. Keyboards, guitars and other
instruments are definitely welcome.
When Captain May was at Camp Casey
in summer 2005 he played it on guitar and someone else started playing creating
a harmony that sounded much like a Spanish guitar. Captain May enjoyed this
melody and harmony blend very much and he'd love to hear versions of the Ghost
Troop Anthem in whatever way you would like, but especially creating harmony to
his melody.
The pdf version of the Ghost Troop Anthem is posted above.
You may also contact me at pazuu@spiritone.com if you would like me
to snail mail you a copy or scan it to you if you don't have pdf. Pdf is very
easy to download and use if you don't already have it- http://adobe-reader.download--free.net/adobe/.
The pdf version prints out darker than it looks.
Please make a recording
of your finished GT Anthem and send it to me at my e-mail address above as an
mp3, send it over a file sharing site or mail it on a cd to my home address
which I will supply to anyone who writes for it. A keyboard version was 408KB
so not too large for e-mail. Please make sure the GT Anthem is an mp3. Also
please make sure the subject is Ghost Troop Anthem.
We hope you enjoy
participating in this challenge and at the same time remembering why it was
written. Please read Captain May's BOBCUP article
Mission
of Conscience Accomplished: Battle of Baghdad Cover-up Exposed.
Captain May will choose the version he likes best and it will be played
on all his radio interviews as the official Ghost Troop Anthem. The musician(s)
with the winning version will be given credit each time it's played, on the
websites and groups where it will be posted and wherever it might be played
around the internet. I will take special care cataloging entries as they come
in and will contact each of you as I receive your recording.
Hopefully
we will have a You Tube video of the song also. If you would be interested in
taking on this task after the song is chosen please let me know. Good luck to
you all and thank you from our founder and leader, Captain Eric May! All the
best, Patti
