Top of the moring to you, Chaplain Chase! I've been downrange with the Camp Casey, Crawford, where I've added immensely to my knowledge of the Battle of Baghdad and BIAP in conversations with several people who were there as US or neutrals. I've pretty much nailed down the tactical situation with the 3rd ID/MEB forces, in their attempt to relieve our parent unit, the 3/7 Cavalry.

I'm doing a lot of international media interviews, and my recent efforts to brush off my Russian and improve my Spanish have paid off richly! As for the US media, I have been receiving valuable inside info from reporters who know and follow the big brass, peers of ol' Thom Shanker at the NYTimes, my erstwhile Ghost Troop mascot, who may yet end up in my good graces... This photo itself was a courtesy of some folks who knew exactly who I was and what I am doing -- and gave me international media as a token of endorsement (the photo I sent you was Italian -- I don't have the Chronk link!)

I've offered to command an honor guard of Iraq war veterans for Cindy Sheehan in Crawford when she leaves Wednesday. I believe I've made a good impression on the folks at Camp Casey, especially the vets -- since they know how the scams of disinfo and plain bad G-2 have screwed them time and again. I explain to them that the military (for they are a hodgepodge of all branches) is always valued primarily for its obedience, so it is slow to wake up to bad decisions. I wore my black belt, black gi and black cavalry beltbuckle -- the heavy brass US belt buckle still unpolished until our military honor is restored (then it will be serious Brasso time!). There is nothing that so inspires the confidence of GI's -- and there were women as well as men -- as the personal example of the officers they look to for guidance. I learned that -- and just about every other tactical, strategic or theoretic concept I have used as commander of Ghost Troop, from the Army itself. I believe that my mission of conscience is just what the Army taught me to do in my circumstances, with my knowledge, at this point in history.

Ironically, DA has just threatened me through department VIP Paul Boyce, to whom I was referred by LTC Lee Pakman at DA Office of the Chief of Public Affairs. LTC Pakman and I had a long conversation about the good old days in Ft. Ben, where he attended DINFOS in the last class (in 1995), a year after my Jan. - March, 1994 class cycle. He is sympathetic to my mission of conscience, and in fact knows several of the same Public Affairs contacts I've build up since April, 2003 -- along with many folks who were once my classmates and are now deep in the system.

Initially, Paul Boyce tried to stone wall and blow me off when I told him I was an officer on a valid mission of conscience, in contact with Congressional folks as well as military and other official folks. When I asked if he was interested in what I had done in Crawford this weekend to break the Battle of Baghdad Cover-up (BOBCUP), he replied that he was "not in the least" interested. Then I told him I had been in Crawford distributing 500 copies of my initial official complaint (some five months after our Saturday, April 5, 2003 conversation, when the battle was still raging, and I first told you that there was a disinformation campaign going on, a campaign that became more and more illegal in its abuse of the DOD Principles of Information).

I told him that DA IG had distributed the complaint to III Corps IG (where I called, since the First Cav was my first unit, back in '77-'80), as well as to 3rd ID IG, and had indicated that DA PA would answer my question if I asked. I told him that my computer had worn out from sending communications, and that my phone bill had skyrocketed from calls. He asked me to read the memo, which I duly pass on to you and any CENTCOM friends with whom you might share the travails of your poor Quixotic Captain May:

When I finished reading it to Paul Boyce I again asked him if he was interesting in reading my update of the situation, which I mentioned I would be sending to you along with an AP photo of me in Crawford, per your request. This time he didn't say he wasn't remotely interested. Nope, instead he said "You do what you have to do, and we'll do what we have to do."

I believe this operative of an illegal, unconstitutional cover-up has just threatened me, and my reporting it to you, our Ghost Troop chaplain and my best friend, is an important step. You told me from the beginning, from that crazy Baghdad Saturday in April, 2003, that you could be counted on to stand on principle. I have relied upon you many times since, and have not been disappointed in your true friendship.

I'm going to hop on the phone in a few and call some above-ground and under-ground media, starting with Thom Shanker and Mark Benjamin..., maybe add a bit of Ghost Troop member (like you), LTC Karen Kwiatkowski..., direct my key staff (such as S-3 Capt. John McCarthy) to forward this message to high-end infowar allies... and finally, send it off to the Holy Horde for distribution throughout the cyber-realm.

I believe it will all be getting handed out in print in Crawford by tomorrow and will likely be posted to the cyber realm at about the same time... We'll see, as always, and work our best advantage (which is the best advantage of the Republic and Constitution, after all) with whatever comes.

I made a commander's recon earlier in the week, and Associated Press ran a photo of me doing my peculiar martial arts exercises. It went round the world, and even landed on the front page of Section B (City/State) in the Chronk!!! Yep, the same fools who are sitting on top of an op-ed busting the Bush Boyz (everyone but you, my friend!) now have the embarassment of their accuser showing up on their front page! LOL!

Anyhow, sorry I was severe in my criticisms when you and I and my Police Posse (w/ legal beagles) met at the Empire Cafe on Aug. 5. My Ghost Troops tell me that the Chronk ran a story about you the next day, Saturday, Aug. 6. I meant every word I said (in Spanish, so that you would endure it) about your boss, but I mean no offense at all to you.

It's not that I love my friend so little, Chaplain Chase, it's that I love my country so much.

When I make final dispositions, I will clarify your position as Chaplain of the Holy Horde, a position you volunteered for (like a good modern-day GI!). I will forward my fragmentary order, containing revisions in your status (which we've discussed recently) to Capt. John McCarthy (SF, Vietnam), who is serving as my S-3. I hope some day you'll meet Capt. McCarthy, along with my Air Force and Marine captains, along with my junior officers (I've battlefield promoted a few) and my NCOs, especially Vietnam air cav vet Command Sergeant Major Neadows.
We are, incidentally, in a declared state of Constitutional Coup of the illegal War Cabal, and you might tell CENTCOM that they can arrest me if they want, too. To tell you the truth, all the work and writing and strategizing has me tired again, and some days I think I'd rather be a political prisoner. 1) There is no cancellation of military leave for October and September. I confirmed this with our S-1 personnel office (they oversee over 3,200 soldiers) and they have heard NOTHING about such an order. 4) Being an officer in the military, I am a pretty exhaustive reader of media concerning military matters from The Early Bird to DoD propaganda to political blogs. I have NOWHERE seen any mention of what you are referencing.

Again, posting this type of nonsense destroys any credibility you have in the eyes of veterans or currently serving personnel. I view all of your posts as suspect and your hubris is not surprising. Like Don Rumsfeld, you have a nasty habit of trying to shape reality to your worldview. They said the same thing in Manta, Ecuador, which houses an $80 million US military base. The US is preparing for war in South America -- make no mistake about it.

Paraguay, bordered by Brazil and Argentina is one of the wildest places on earth. This is a very aggressive move by the US and all ! South American governments should be very concerned. All military leaves for September and October have been cancelled ... something big is in the works ... there is a buildup of material and equipment ... personnel at draft board offices are waiting for the word to activate.
