About Portland

If you've never visited Portland, you may want to stay a few extra days to explore. Known as the City of Roses, it is situated on the confluence of the Columbia River and the Willamette River. Portland boasts a wide variety of cultural attractions, including a large number of bookstores, theaters, museums, restaurants, and art galleries. Rivers, hills and trees make it one of the most pleasant cities to visit.

It is also located convenient to the natural recreation areas of mountains and oceanside. Less than an hour's drive away is Mt. Hood with its scenic beauty, ski areas, and other recreational opportunities. An hour and a half in the opposite direction brings you to the Pacific Ocean beaches. A day trip out of Portland can also take you to the spectacular Johnson Ridge observatory at Mt. St. Helens.

Whatever your interests, you will be able to find something nearby. We hope you will take some time to enjoy our city.
