February 02, 2002   Quite an interesting read: "George W. in the Garden of Gethsemane", An Open Letter to George W. Bush from Michael Moore.

Whether people want to admit it or not, Enron pretty much had the Bush administration firmly tucked into their pockets and, regardless of 'war time' patriotism and allegiance, that issue seriously needs to be addressed. Our government is bought, much more than most people suspect, and until that error in the system is reformed, the people will continue to get screwed over by the comodity known as goverment.

I was getting really worried that no one, other than partisan politicians, would draw attention to and force the issue of the political ties to the Enron mess, but thankfully Michael Moore is at least willing to speak up about it. His letter most likely won't make a big difference, but it still offered some hope. I was getting so depressed and sickened by the media's refusal to acknowledge or report on the politcal issues of the Enron mess, so it's at least nice to know that not everyone has their head in the sand.

Maybe, just maybe, there are some reporters who will come to their senses and realize that omission of truth is simply a lie in disguise, and that denial is not a patriotic duty.
