This photo is of Frederick Warrilow and his family. The two girls' names are Ivy and Lana. His wife's name was Ellen. He had served in the Royal Berkshire Regiment (Infantry) for 12 years prior to joining the Canadian over-seas expeditionary force on January 15th, 1916. He was born in Reading, England and was the son of Alfred WARRILOW and Margaret PURVER.
Frederick had several brothers and sisters one of which, Ellen, just recently passed away in England. Jessie Margaret, Albert, Sidney Walter, Bertram(my grandfather)Francis (Frank), Lily and Ellen (Nellie) Kate.
When he joined the service in Canada he was living at 12902-91st, Edmonton Alberta Canada. He was born on February 6th, 1880 and his trade was laborer. His Attestation Papers from Canada are No. 811753 Box 10109-46.
At age 35 Frederick was 5'6" tall, complexion was fresh, eyes gray, and hair was brown. He was a member of the Church of England.
I would very much like to meet via e-mail or the regular mail his descendants. I've written to a number of WARRILOW'S in Minburn, Alberta Canada who may or may not be Frederick's descendants. At present I haven't received any indication that the letters were received much less a courteous response. I have been in contact with Casey Warrilow, who currently lives near Edmonton, Alberta Canada although no connection to my family has been made.
I have left notes on various bulletin boards in Alberta including various genealogy societies and government agencies seeking contact with anyone that either knew of this family or knows the whereabouts of Ivy or Lana Warrilow.

This is a picture of my grandmothers family (the Barkers) from Winchester, England. Her dad was a tailor and her mother, whose maiden name was Carpenter, stayed at home to raise children. My grandfather, Bertram, was supposed to mary my grandmothers sister but when he came back to England from Canada, after settling into a new home, to take her back she chose not to go. He asked if any other young lady would come with him to Winnipeg and Caroline said she would.
