Spasm Logs

When you hit the "View Logs" button, you'll be taken to the Logs screen. The Logs screen has a series of checkboxes next to the messages Spasm received and logged. To see the log entry for messages, just put a checkmark in the box next to the message(s) you want and then hit the View Selected Entries button.

If Spasm is set to one of the default filter settings, the Logs will contain a compact version of what messages have already been in the quarantine.

A log entry will look something like this:

DateFri Apr 2 11:18:07 2004
Senderdonaldsyrinx@msn.com
Hostnameadsl-66-73-164-219.dsl.chcgil.ameritech.net
Host IP66.73.164.219
Host HELOadsl-66-73-164-219.dsl.chcgil.ameritech.net
FiltersSF_DSBL
SF_SPAMCOP
SF_SORBS
SF_SPAMASSASSIN
StatusQUARANTINED

Any of the information in the Sender, Hostname, or Host IP fields can be entered into the Blacklist or the Whitelist, depending on what you want to do with future messages from the address or host (copy and paste is the easiest way to do this). The Filters line shows which of Spasm's filters were tripped when this message was received, and the Status line shows the action taken for the message.

What are People Saying about SpiritOne?

"I've been a customer now for over six years, and I've RARELY had ANY trouble. This is rather unusual, I suspect, in the Internet business. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I can never remember a time I attempted connection, and it wasn't available."
