These are the instructions for setting up the mail program Mozilla Thunderbird for use with SpiritOne.

  1. When you first start Thunderbird, you will be prompted to create a new account. If so, skip the next two steps. If you are not prompted to create a new account, click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  2. In the Account Settings window, hit the Add Account button.
  3. Select Email account and hit Next.
  4. Type your name in the Your Name box.
  5. Type your email address in the Email Address box.
  6. Hit Next.
  7. In both the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server boxes, type the mail server names from the sidebar on the right.
  8. Make sure the type of incoming server is set to POP.
  9. Hit Next.
  10. Enter your SpiritOne username in the Incoming User Name box.
  11. Hit Next.
  12. Enter a name for this account in the Account Name box. The name is completely up to you.
  13. Hit Next.
  14. Use this screen to double-check your settings. If you see you've made a mistake, hit the Back button to correct the error. Once you've done that, click on Finish.
  15. Hit Finish.
  16. That's it!  You can now use Thunderbird to send and receive your SpiritOne email.  Thunderbird will prompt you for your password the first time you check your email.
