• 8/20/08: At the Worldcon, Patrick Nielsen Hayden of Tor asked me to edit my blog posts about Launch Pad into an article for the tor.com website. I did so, and it's just been posted here.
• 8/13/08: I sold short story "Sun Magic, Earth Magic" to new webzine Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Also, I will be appearing in San Francisco on September 20, as part of the SF in SF reading series.
• 8/6/08: "Titanium Mike" will be podcast at StarShipSofa.
• 7/27/08: "Babel Probe," "Moonlight on the Carpet," and "Titanium Mike Saves the Day" all received Honorable Mentions in Gardner Dozois's latest Year's Best Science Fiction.
• 7/25/08: The signed and numbered hardcover of my collection Space Magic is now available from Wrigley-Cross Books.
• 6/4/08: I sold short story "Aggro Radius" to Gamer Fantastic, an anthology edited by Martin Greenberg and Kerrie Hughes. I also received my contributor's copy of the French edition of F&SF, containing "Titanium Mike à la rescousse!"

• 5/12/08: The Mammoth Book Of Extreme Fantasy, edited by Mike Ashley, is now available for pre-order. It includes "Charlie the Purple Giraffe Was Acting Strangely" as well as many other fine stories by authors such as Michael Swanwick and Howard Waldrop.
• 5/1/08: "Titanium Mike Saves the Day" did not win the Nebula Award, but it will appear in the anthology Nebula Awards Showcase 2009.
• 4/7/08: I have been accepted into the Launch Pad Astronomy Workshop! This is a NASA-funded "crash course" in modern astronomy for SF writers. Other attendees include Alma Alexander, Steven Gould, Deanna Hoak, Mary Robinette Kowal, Nancy Kress, Jay Lake, David Marusek, and Laura Mixon.
• 2/14/08: Three of my stories are now available for purchase at the Sony eBook store (for the Sony eBook Reader or free eBook Library software on your PC -- not Mac, alas).
• 2/2/08: My short story collection Space Magic will have a signed and numbered limited-edition hardcover edition, available exclusively from Wrigley-Cross Books.
• 1/24/08: I have been accepted to the Taos Toolbox Writers' Workshop! This two-week workshop (in Taos, New Mexico in June), taught by Walter Jon Williams and Kelly Link with special guest lecturer Stephen R. Donaldson, is a "graduate-level" workshop for writers who have already been to Clarion or Odyssey and/or have made some short fiction sales, and has an emphasis on the craft of the novel. It should be a lot of fun.
• 12/8/07: I sold novelette "The True Story of Merganther's Run" to Aeon Speculative Fiction. Issue 12 of Aeon, including my story "Moonlight on the Carpet," is available now. And "I Hold My Father's Paws" got an Honorable Mention in Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, while "Primates" and "The Last McDougal's" got Honorable Mentions in Year's Best Science Fiction.
• 7/10/07: The Year's Best Science Fiction Twenty-Fourth Annual Collection, edited by Gardner Dozois (who is, I'm told, recovering nicely from a quintuple bypass), has its official release today and has already been reviewed at sfrevu.com. I haven't seen a copy yet. This anthology is my first Dozois Year's Best appearance, with "I Hold My Father's Paws". Coincidentally, that same story was just this weekend podcast at Beam Me Up from WRFR radio in Rockland, Maine. The reading, by Ron Huber, begins about halfway into the show. Hope you like it!
• 3/15/07: Illustrator Rachel Stoleru posted a cute picture inspired by "Titanium Mike"; "Tk'Tk'Tk" was translated into Hebrew in the webzine Bli-Panika; "Titanium Mike" is also being translated into Hebrew, in the print magazine The Tenth Dimension; and "Tk'Tk'Tk" will be translated into Romanian, in the fan-produced (but very slick-looking!) magazine Helion.
• 3/4/07: "Titanium Mike Saves the Day" has been reviewed in SFRevu ("a great little piece") and Tangent Online ("an entertaining and engaging work").
• 2/28/07: There's an interview with me on the Sci-Phi Show podcast (http://thesciphishow.com/). You can find it at http://thesciphishow.com/audio/tspsoc29.mp3. It sounds really good!
